Agreed, God does not need our money. But other people do. Even in well to do churches there are people who are struggling. (And of course in not so well to do churches there are many such families). Yes, keep the lights on and the place in running order. Forget the pipe organ that no one can play. Forget the trips to Mexico to build houses (the airfare of everyone involved could build several more houses). Find those in need and help them. That is your mission.
