As a psychiatrist I have seen antidepressants improve hundreds of peoples lives and, yes, cure their depression. This study is deeply flawed. It took people ALREADY ON antidepressants and compared them to controls. Who knows if their quality of ife improved before the study. Or where in their treatment they were. We really know nothing about the study group. They did not take people and treat them for depression and see if the quality of life improved. they just asked people who take antidepressants over a year. There is very little data in this study.
