As a psychiatrist I wish they taught what you've written in grade school. We have physical education. Mental education needs to now take its proper place. As you've said this is not a cure all. But almost everyone can do it, and it works in almost every situation. The more you do it the easier it is. The step from breathing exercise to help you become calm and still, to meditation is not a difficult one. We place vast attention on taking care of our bodies with exercise and diets galore. The regular care of our minds is long overdue. Thanks for the great primer, Kate.
