Dan, I could hardly read this it is so infuriating. I am a physician and I dare anyone who believes any of these things to walk with me through our children's hospital and tell me why these kids are so sick. Or to watch the news as populations (always of poor people) are rocked by war and natural disasters. The "why me" is surprising of anyone who is a careful watcher of the world as it is, not a small bubble community who's suffering can be interpreted every which way. I have a debilitating arthritic disease and was found to have stage 4 of a usually untreatable cancer. I had quite a bit of psychological suffering, anger, and adapting to manage. But never "why me." Suffering is everywhere, but notably much more for certain populations. God has nothing to do with any of it. We should once and for all do away with the problem of evil because God does not intervene in the physical aspects of this world. If He did it is fairly clear that the world would not be as it is. As He relates to us God is a God of the heart. That is what He can and will change. Nothing more. Look inside for God and outside for what you can do to help your fellow suffering person.
