Dear Emma, I am a cis-male psychiatrist. I am now side-lined due to medical issues, but I had 23 years of practice before I quit. I did not have the chance to work with a transgender person. This feels like my loss. I did not have the chance to have a deeper understanding of your plight. This is all to say please keep writing. It is a privilege to be let into a life such as yours. Rather seeing something different from ourselves we learn what it is like to be human. In this case that means to have a gender identity we usually take for granted. The path to happiness is to become what you are. Thank you for sharing your path.
