I also question the messianic narrative part of the gospels. I do not understand what was sacrificed and why it matters. And yes, God could have snapped his fingers and forgiven everyone. There are many more problems with this story.

But I do not think this article contributes to this line of reasoning. Yes Prometheus was not real but Jesus was (maybe not the Xian god but Jesus. We know from Josephus the Roman historian who records the death of Jesus). And I agree that many others have suffered more, but what does this tell us? There are good points here but they are lost in the anger and cynical tone. Make your points, Lilith, and your arguments will stand on their own.
