I am a physician and a survivor of a stage 4, rare and generally untreateable cancer. I had two extensive surgeries that almost did me in and extensive radiation (there is no chemo for this cancer). Most of my doctors were good, but being an MD I know I get different care. Nonetheless, there is much to be done in cancer care about the psychological state of patients. I am working with others now to make this so.
