- The Butterfly effect only applies to nonlinear dynamical systems (both chaos and complex). Not all systems, so I am not sure about this.

- Western philosophy privledges reason over affect but not in psychology and psychiatry. It has been known for a long time that affect is primary both consciously and subconsciously. Agree about meditation and Eastern thought in general but no one knows exactly any of it works.
