This is a fascinating and courageous piece. I think many people, like myself, have either similar feelings or wonder about them. After reading the gospels a few times I was convinced that the supposed messianic narrative had little to no support. Rather, a narrative of a man who taught a new kind of morality, one that did not depend on rite and ritual (the meat and potatoes of those in power), is everywhere. And with this new morality there is the potential for a new relationship with God. To me that is the good news.
