This is al sooo true. As a psychiatrist, who sent most of his patients to therapy, I am happy to hear about people being asked to be responsible for the price of their emotions. Many couples therapists want to treat the marriage and insist that everyone brings baggage into a marriage so no one is to blame. But that is not the real world. Both are to blame usually, but rarely equally. Emotional reactivity, especially anger, do damage (as they are meant to). That is where change must begin.
