Trevor you walked right into all this criticism by writing such a superficial piece. I am sure Christianity is important to you, but not to everyone. Many people hold humans to have inherent dignity which is the source of their rights. In fact, that is the purpose of Jefferson's writing of the Declaration of Independence. "We hold these truths to be self-evident..." That is, they are true unto themselves without need for justification. this is the point of human rights.

I'm glad you are taking this seriously but you have much more studying to do before you take strong positions publicly.
